Federal Law No. 324-FZ: how it applies in practice
A brief practical guide to types of assistance, categories of citizens and common questions.
Types of assistance
Free legal aid may take the form of legal advice, preparation of legal documents and, in cases provided for by law, representation of interests.
Typical cases
- housing matters and a sole dwelling;
- employment disputes, reinstatement and wages;
- social support, benefits, subsidies and pensions;
- protection of children's rights, maintenance, paternity and guardianship;
- out-of-court challenges to officials' decisions and actions;
- restoration of rights following an emergency.
How to prepare an inquiry
The more precisely the facts, dates, participants, documents and purpose of the inquiry are described, the sooner a legal route can be identified.
